The Radiometric Survey consists of measuring doses in the adjacent areas where a radiation emitting equipment is used, whether it is X-ray rooms or dental offices that have an intraoral X-ray.
Some points of interest are chosen around the room in the external area, on the walls around the equipment. In this, the type of barrier is evaluated, which can be primary and secondary barriers. In this case, check if there is any radiation reading during the equipment emission, even with the pre-planned barriers during the screening calculation.
The readings are made with calibrated measuring equipment and ionization chambers with a volume sensitive enough to detect radiation on the site walls.
